Church, Old Bexley
Three Photos
The final part of our segment of the London Loop led us along the edge of Church Wood
and into old Bexley. We could see the church spire for some distance as we
approached the village, now part of Greater London.
St. Marys, Bexley. The octagonal cap on the pyramidal tower adds
a degree of interest to this very old building.
Bexley Village was our final destination for today. After finishing our long walk from Erith, we found a lovely pub and settled in to rest
our weary bones and quench our powerful thirsts. It was St. Patrick's Day, and most pubs were decked out accordingly. These
homes are on the High Street approaching the train station, from where we would soon be on our way to Greenwich. From there
we would continue on to Caroline's for champagne and a lovely home-cooked vegan dinner.
