Canal, River Thames, Goring
Two Photos
On Wednesday we were off to Berkshire, to the twin towns of Goring-Streatley, the former in Oxfordshire and the latter in Berkshire.
Goring has shops, pubs and the station, whilst Streatley has pubs. Either town would serve me well! This is the Thames, well above
London, and part of the canal that allows boats to navigate. We are on the bridge that joins the two towns and counties.
The Swan, Streatley, is a beautiful riverside hotel, spa and restaurant/pub. We stopped here twice for refreshments. It is a very
fancy place. Deb made use of their free wi fi. Later in the afternoon we would be atop the lovely hillside seen in behind.
