Queen's Picture Gallery, London
Friday was our final day in London, and we made the most of it. We began at Buckingham Palace with our first visit
to the Queen's Gallery to view this Flemish painting exhibit. I purchased the catalogue to the show and read it on the
plane going home. There were several paintings in it to die for, including a winter interior of a barn by Rubens. The jewels
were out, too, in the Treasures exhibit. Insane amount of jewels, including a belt made with very, very very large emeralds.
Next we went to see the William Morris House in Walthamstow, coming across a lively street market and a nice pub too.
The Morris Gallery was packed with items from the Arts and Crafts movement, such as stained glass, books and furniture.
Back in London we visited a few final pubs, met Caroline for dinner one last time, then packed and went to bed early.
We had to be at Heathrow by 7.
