Run the whited shells:
The Song, Shepherds, Silted stairs,
Looped and hollow hoop of gold.
Strike the scattered bronze:
Sirens, Seers, flesh of clay,
Satyrs clothed in gilded mold,
Looped and hollow hoop of gold.
Rhyme the flinted swords:
Serpents, circlets, sacred suns,
Burnt desires, carved and cold,
Looped and hollow hoop of gold.
Smooth the linen skulls:
The Soil, Secrets, shifting stars,
The dust that clings, the dust of fear,
Fossilled bread, a story told...
Looped and hollow hoop of gold.
